Dr. Nannette Stangle-Castor is a 20+ year successful entrepreneur that has guided the commercialization of hundreds of technologies from government (NASA, US Army, DOE) and university labs. She has served as Board Advisor and mentor to numerous organizations spanning academia, startups, healthcare organizations, and nonprofits. Highly valued for her strategic advice, Nannette brings deep expertise in the understanding of complex technologies across all industry sectors to drive market acceptance and success for her clients and partners. As the founder of IVT, a woman-owned small business, she has won and led multiple government contracts and is currently a Connector supporting the Department of Energy’s American-Made Challenges – a program that fast tracks innovations. For a decade, Nannette led Patient Advisory Councils (both the health system and oncology) at Duke University Hospitals. She brings expertise across a broad range of key areas, including intellectual property management, licensing, and negotiation; go-to-market strategy; process optimization and efficiency; and translation of technologies for effective communications, which are all key components for successful business alignment, operations, and revenue generation. Nannette has been recognized with excellence awards from NASA, Duke, Women in Business, and Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. Her vast volunteer efforts focus on the entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a special focus on supporting women and underrepresented founders. Everything she does revolves around her motto: Be intentional, be authentic, and be impactful.
